Dedicated to my best friend and *daughter* Hannah

Some days are just crappy all the way around, no matter what you do, no matter what you say. It just would have been better if you had satyed in bed, and be done with it!
Today was one of those days, actualy I think all this week should have been one of those weeks! Anyway, this is going to be my upbuilding, all positive post, that brings me and everyone else JOY!

I have been reading alot of Anne Frank stuff lately, and to know that this girl, who was just 14/15 her writing skills her exceptional, what would she have become if she had survived? A journalist? author? actress? mother? wife? Who knows, but I believe her writing gives away alot. I believe she would have been an author, with some leanings TOWARDS journalist, but probably more just simple articles (who wore what at the wedding, what the queen of the Netherlands was up to, things of that nature) But she would have come up with some great books. I have a book that is called *Tales from the Annex* and its all of her stories and writings in one book. These are the things she wrote seperate from the diary. Alot lately as Im reading it, Im sitting there thinking about her hiding in that attic writing away, or sitting there in front of the Van Pels (their true name)as they commented on how lazy she was, and all she did was write. I understand how she felt, Im addicted to writing, reading, playing on the internet, and have quite a few people comment on these things. Well shoot, over the past two days I have been wanting to write this GREAT article on what I felt about Anne, its been brewing in my mind, and as soon as I sit down, floop, out of the brain it goes, ARGH! I dont believe it would have been Peter she would have married tho, they were too young, and he WAS the only boy around at the time she was just getting interested. If they had survived, they would have been very good friends over time, but I am sure they would have gone their seperate ways, the reason? they had gotten TOO close, and that time together in close quarters in a bad time, perhaps would bring back bad memories. But then again, would she have been able to handle Mrs Van Pels as a mother in law?? EEEEEEK Although the other book Im reading right now (The Last Seven Months of Annes Life) Anne became closer with both her mother and Mrs Van Pels, after all, in a concentration camp, I would believe, you either support eachother, or hurt. I wish I could remember everything that is in my thoughts about Anne, but its blank.

Okay, on to why I dedicated this to Hannah, both she and I have been thru some crap the last few days, between depression, school, work, family, insecurities, and everything else. I was searching for something online today for something else, and found this. When I was a senior in high school, for my speech class, I memorized this poem, and I have loved it ever since, it tells exactly how I feel, and how a person should be. Although it was written for Kiplings son, and it ends with *you will be a man my son* I can see it being meant for any person, male or female, who needs to learn to rely on themselves, trust themselves to be able to stand up, and just to be a wonderful person.

IF by Rudyard Kipling

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or, being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise;

If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with triumph and disaster
And treat those two imposters just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with wornout tools;

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breath a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on";

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings - nor lose the common touch;
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run -
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man my son!
